pretty farmhouse graduation garden party ~

Welcome to my dear friend Janet's home.

Janet blogs at Open Market Style and has a booth at Heritage Square Antique Mall, actually she has the best booth there, hands down!

We had the pleasure of visiting her home over the weekend to celebrate the high school graduation of her sweet and talented daughter Emily who will be heading off to college in just a couple short months.  Emily prepared all the food for the party, all vegetarian and so delicious.  She is such a bright, kind, thoughtful and gifted young lady!

Janet's cottage farmhouse was simply darling and I couldn't resist taking lots of photos to share with all of you!  The house was built in the 1930's and has so much character.  She has two super old barns where she gets to stash all of her treasures.  I might be a tad bit jealous of those barns!!

Look at this cute barn!  LOVE the curtains in the windows!

The whole house is surrounded by fabulous landscaping and gardens, very English cottage farmhouse style.  Boxwoods, urns, columns, statues, white wicker.  Little seating areas in various little spots around the house.  I was absolutely smitten!  Everything was so green and lush, so inviting and pretty.

We took a a few minutes to check out the vegetable garden too.  I have wanted to put a little garden bed in at my house for the past few years, but we just haven't made it happen.  This inspired us!

 Cutest chicken coop ever

Pretty apparent why I love it so much, right?!?!?

It was such a lovely evening and gathering!

Thanks for sharing your ideas here. It’s such a great pleasure of getting these superb ideas from you. Can you please suggest me if you have any idea of throwing birthday party at some great and affordable Chicago event venues. Thanks in advance.
